How to Flavor Iced Coffee Without Making It Watery

The best way to make iced coffee taste great is to start with strong coffee. Melted ice will dilute the flavor, so brew your coffee stronger than usual or use cold brew. You can also freeze leftover coffee into ice cubes so your drink never gets watery.

Use syrup instead of sugar, since sugar doesn’t dissolve well in cold drinks. A good starting ratio is one pump, or about two teaspoons, of syrup per eight ounces of coffee. Adjust to taste: add another pump for more sweetness, or use less if you want the coffee flavor to come through. Add milk or cream last, and stir well.
